Naviance

St Aug LogoThe Guidance Department is pleased to introduce Family Connection from Naviance.  This Web-based service is designed especially for students and parents, to assist in the decision-making process for colleges and career choices.  It is also linked with Counselor’s Office, a service used in our office to track and analyze data about college and career plans specific to our school.  Each Junior and Senior will be issued a Naviance access code.  This will allow him to log into his individual account and establish his profile with his unique preferences and choices.   This new tool will greatly benefit our upperclassmen and it will allow them to research colleges in light of their intended majors, preferred geographical locations, and scholarship opportunities.  Students can access their Family Connection accounts by logging onto: http://connection.naviance.com/staugustine/

2008 Summer Enrichment Programs

The summer months are fast approaching and students are reminded that now is the time to enroll in meaningful summer programs. This is a time for students to develop skills they may be lacking and to enhance the ones they have nearly mastered. The summer break is the perfect opportunity for students to be exposed to various forms of learning. Whether your son is an artist, athlete, or bookworm, there is a summer program designed specifically to accommodate his interests and/or needs.  Besides enhancing academic performance, summer enrichment programs can also broaden his horizons by allowing him to network with other students with similar interest as well as enriching his application portfolio. All currently enrolled St. Augustine students are strongly encouraged to challenge themselves by enrolling in an enrichment program. Below is a list of summer enrichment programs in which St. Augustine students have been invited to participate. Please contact Mrs. Henry at 944-2424 ext #325, or at chenry@purpleknights.com for additional information. Most applications are already available in the Guidance Department.
