National Honor Society

The National Honor Society is designed to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, promote leadership and encourage the development of character in students. Membership is based on the following:

1. Scholarship
   1. A sophomore must have a simple GPA of at least 3.5
   2. A junior or senior must have a simple GPA of at least a 3.3
2. Leadership
   1. The student must have an active commitment to academic excellence.
   2. He must take the initiative in class and school activities.
3. Character
   1. The student's discipline record should not contain any Class C or Class D violations.
4. Service
   1. The student must have a willingness to work for the benefits of those in need.
