St Augustine High School French II students took a field trip to Cafe Degas and the New Orleans Museum of Art on Thursday, April 16, 2009. The restaurant prepared a special 'prix fixe' menu for the students to taste different, traditional French foods. In addition, the museum waived the entry fee.

According to Mrs. Carton, " This day was a result of the hard work of our French II students who completed a project on French artists." During class on Monday, April 20, 2009, they wrote papers and gave oral presentations using the French language.
